HAGIM GmbH launches an actively managed UCITS Fund for Institutional Investors
Frankfurt am Main, October 15, 2026 – HAGIM GmbH is launching a new UCITS fund for Institutional Investors with the HAGIM High Yield DM Plus (ISINs: DE000A4207N7, DE000A4207M9, DE000A4207P2). The fund’s objective is to generate a risk-adjusted excess return over the long term, independent of short-term fluctuations, through active bond selection within the high yield universe.
To this end, the fund invests in euro-denominated corporate bonds issued by companies in developed and emerging markets across various credit ratings and capital structures (DM Plus). The focus is on the BB and B rating categories. Issuers in the CCC range are not part of the strategy. The strategy focuses on the risk-return profile of each individual investment as well as its contribution to the overall portfolio.
The DM Plus approach expands the investment universe through the targeted and selective inclusion of issuers from emerging markets, not the risk profile.
Thomas Herbert, CEO/CIO of HAGIM GmbH, says of the fund:
“The fund underscores HAGIM’s ability to develop new investment strategies based on solid bond selection and to adapt to changing market conditions.”
Investment Team
Thomas Rentsch, CFA, and Steffen Briel, CFA, are responsible for managing the fund. Thomas Rentsch brings more than 15 years of experience as a portfolio manager in the European high yield market. Steffen Briel has nine years of experience in credit analysis and brings extensive expertise in the areas of high yield and emerging markets. In analyzing and selecting issuers from emerging markets, the fund management team is supported by Evgenij Minkin, CFA, and Roman Nasonov, CFA.
